« TRILOGY OF EARTH »

Symposium

The Trilogy of Earth project, created by Paris-based artist Agathe Simon, produced by the art company The Group, and supported by Bertrand Maillot and the Cergy Geosciences and Environnement Laboratory (GEC), includes a symposium to be held on April 30th at the ‘Maison Internationale de la Recherche’ at the CY Cergy Paris Université (Neuville site), in partnership with the CNRS, the Paris Cergy National Graduate School of Art (ENSAPC), CY Advanced Studies and the University of Paris-Seine.

The aim of this conference is to better grasp the possible future of our planet by recreating the portrait of a henceforth extinct humanity, through ancestors living on five continents: Nuku & Tiki (Marquesas Islands), Maleh Pêh (Ivory Coast), Sristidhar Kolay (India), Jessie Sword (United States), and Antoine Goubier (France).

This interdisciplinary symposium has the particularity of being proposed by the Center of Research on the Unknown (C.R.U.), composed (for this project) of students of:

  • the Geosciences and Environment Cergy (GEC) laboratory of the CY Cergy Paris Université, under the supervision of Professor Bertrand Maillot,
  • the UFR Langues et Études Internationales of the CY Cergy Paris Université, under the supervision of Gérald Peloux and Cécile Doustaly,
  • the Paris Cergy National Graduate School of Art (ENSAPC), under the supervision of Corinne Le Néün.

It will take place in the presence of Véronique Moulinié, from the CNRS Lahic laboratory. This project is organized with the support of Diana Burgos-Vigna, Caroline Chantegreil, Pauline Guerreiro and the cultural service of the CY Cergy Paris Université, as well as the Direction of Student Life of the CY Cergy Paris Université.
